Appointments

You can make an appointment to see the doctor or nurse practitioner during normal surgery times by:

  • Telephone 01207 560206.
  • Calling into reception during our opening times.

If you are unable to keep an appointment please notify reception as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient. We regularly monitor the number of times when patients "did not attend" for their appointment. This helps us to make sure we make best use of the available appointments.

Appointment System

The practice offers either telephone consultations or an appointment to see the Doctor, for those patients that are unable to take a telephone appointment.

When you ring for an appointment with the GP, in the first instance you will be asked whether the problem can be dealt with by the Nurse Practitioner. If this is not appropriate you will then be offered an appointment with the Doctor either telephone or face to face dependant on urgency and availability.

We hope that this system of both telephone and face to face appointments will improve the service we provide. However, we will continue to monitor waiting times and your feedback to ensure that this is the case.

Chaperone

It is the policy of this practice to respect the privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs of our patients. If you feel you would like a chaperone to be present during a physical examination or if you would prefer to be examined by a health professional of the same gender as yourself, please ask at reception or speak to your doctor. We will do our best to comply with your wishes.

Missed Appointments

If you do not need or are unable to attend your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to another patient.
